With two decades of professional experience to his credit, Ryan Joseph Simon is well-regarded in the fields of sports management and marketing. Since 2019, he has served as the manager of ticket services for the Philadelphia Phillies, drawing upon years of expertise with the organization. He first joined the Philadelphia Phillies in 2011 as a premium services host and season and group sales representative, then transitioned to the role of a merchandising representative in 2013. By 2014, he was promoted to the rank of giveaway staff supervisor while concurrently serving as an assistant director of customer service at his alma mater, Drexel University. Subsequently, Mr. Simon was promoted to the position of coordinator of ticket services in 2015, serving in that capacity until his current promotion to manager in 2019.
Deriving immense pride from his affiliation with and contributions to the Philadelphia Phillies, Mr. Simon has been pivotal in launching several of the organization’s programs and services, including the adjustment of phone operating hours for staff members and creating an innovative ticket services program, both of which significantly improved business operations and employee satisfaction. Likewise, Mr. Simon helped to launch the careers of an array of notable figures within the realm of sports, including Vinesh Kanthan, the director of baseball operations for the Miami Marlins.
Lending his expertise to academia as well, Mr. Simon has contributed to his alma mater, Holy Family University, as a sports management marketing industry mentor since 2023. He has also been an adjunct professor at Arcadia University and La Salle University since 2018 and 2021, respectively. To prepare for his career, Mr. Simon pursued a formal education at Holy Family University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in sports management marketing in 2011. He then received a master’s degree in project management from Drexel University in 2017. Driven by a passion for continuous education, Mr. Simon also completed “HR Management and Analytics: Unlock the Value of Human Capital” through Wharton Executive Education and is a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management.
Adjacent to his career endeavors, Mr. Simon maintains involvement with his community with a desire to make a positive impact on those around him. Looking toward the future, he aims to leverage his professional experience to bring positive working relationships to the sports industry and continue pursuing academic credentials and ventures in entrepreneurship.
