Drawing upon more than 25 years of professional experience, Larry Shook is a respected tradesman and entrepreneur who serves at the helm of Shook Heating & Cooling LLC. Since 2016, Mr. Shook has been a business owner within the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, working on both residential and commercial systems. Considering establishing his business as a prime highlight of his career, he is grateful for the success he has garnered thus far. To wit, he is supported by four staff members and a fleet of five trucks.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Shook graduated from high school and worked as a plumber for two years. Following this period, he worked at a truck plant through the Ford Motor Company for many years, during which time he realized his dream of starting his own business. In 2008, Mr. Shook decided to return to school to cultivate deeper knowledge about heating and cooling, undertaking a 10-month course through a prominent trade school and additional collegiate coursework. He received his license and subsequently established Shook Heating & Cooling LLC.
Now in his role for over eight years, Mr. Shook is exceptionally gratified by the legacy he has cemented in his community as a reliable business owner, leader and HVAC expert. Outside of his primary endeavors, he is a supporter of local school sports, having sponsored three local golf courses and two different high school basketball teams. He also helps coach his son’s Little League football team.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Shook aims to continue working in his present position with aspirations to achieve continual growth in his region. In addition, he would like to establish a stronger business presence in his local community of Livonia, Michigan, serving as a foremost expert in HVAC services.
