Robert C. Greeley is distinguished in the fields of consultancy and finance, drawing upon more than 50 years of professional experience. Since 1983, he has thrived as the owner and principal of Greeley, Lindsay Consultant Group (formerly the Greeley Consultant Group), a boutique business consultancy that handles middle-ranged businesses experiencing financial distress.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Greeley worked extensively with Wells Fargo in San Francisco between 1970 and 1983, beginning as a commercial lending officer, the head of the training department and a branch manager. Remaining in these roles until 1976, he also served as an RCBO loan team leader and a regional loan supervisor from 1970 to 1983. Prior to departing from the bank, Mr. Greeley was the assistant vice president between 1976 and 1983. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Golden Gate University, from 1983 to 2001. Other vocational engagements to his credit include serving as a State Court Receiver to manage and operate businesses from 1984 to 2018, as a Federal Bankruptcy Court Chapter 11 Trustee, and as a consultant to mid-corporate business work-out situations.

At the beginning of his tenure, Mr. Greeley played an integral role in helping a company secure a loan of $3.2 million. After the loan was granted, the lender became apprehensive about the company’s ability to repay; therefore, they contacted Mr. Greeley to seek help recovering the funds. After 90 days, the company was sold and could repay the loan in full. Impressed with Mr. Greeley’s work, the company’s attorney extended Mr. Greeley an invitation to participate in future dealings. Since that time, he has worked with 128 companies that were in distress due to the economic downturn of their respective industries, having successfully restructured the companies by implementing innovative strategies by not only lowering their costs but also improving how they delivered products.

As a testament to his success, Mr. Greeley was honored with the Highest Achievement Award from the American Marketing Association in 1986-1987. Civically involved, he formerly served with the American Marketing Association as a past board member and officer of the Sacramento Valley chapter between 1987 and 2009. Moreover, he served as a board member of the Risk Managers Association from 2000 to 2018, a Northern California board member of the Turnaround Management Association from 2007 to 2015, and a member of the employment committee of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School from 2007 to 2013, among other positions.

In the coming years, Mr. Greeley aims to continue advancing in his career by helping more companies and seeking additional opportunities for success. Married to his wife Celeste since 1980, he enjoys creative writing, reading, flying gliders and studying astronomy in his spare time.
