In light of her unwavering desire to help others attain success, Maggie Mers has always sought to contribute positively to society. In doing so, she has since been recognized as a prominent figure in logistics, through which she aids clients in garnering their own success. Since 2007, Ms. Mers has served as the founder and chief executive officer of MBM International Logistics. She commenced her career in 1993, serving as an independent international logistics consultant and translator until 2006.
To supplement her career path, Ms. Mers completed coursework in hotel management at Beijing University and coursework in computer information systems at the Renmin University of China. She subsequently earned a master’s degree in cosmetology and attained an OTI/NVOCC title license through the Federal Maritime Commission. Alongside her primary work in the field, she has also maintained membership with several influential organizations, such as the Leadership Alliance, C5C and AOP International, among many others. She has attributed much of her success to her passion for her work and determination to be better than she was before. She says that she has always persevered regardless of the obstacles that have crossed her path. To this end, she has been especially proud of helping her clients attain success and happiness in their professional endeavors.
In light of her esteemed efforts, Ms. Mers has been recognized with numerous accolades. In 2008, she was recognized for coordinating the safe return of Olympic sculptures by General Consul Madam Qiao Hong. Thereafter, she was twice named Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women in 2010 and 2011, as well as named among the 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia by the Georgia Asian Times in 2018. The same year, she received the Fast 100 Asian American Business Award from the U.S.-Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation. In 2019, Ms. Mers was bestowed with the Top 10 Asian American Business Enterprise Award.
Looking forward, Ms. Mers intends to continue helping her local community and express to others that they can become excellent leaders in their own regard.
