Supported by five decades of professional experience in the field of engineering, Erwin Helmel has served as the chief executive officer, president and owner of the eponymous Helmel Engineering Products, Inc. In his unique positions, Mr. Helmel specializes in machine work design. Helmel Engineering Products has offices in Niagara Falls, New York, and Orange, California, and focuses its efforts on designing, manufacturing and servicing measuring machines and related software.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Helmel also served in various capacities with Hansford Parts and Products. To prepare for his pronounced career, he pursued a formal education at the University of Rochester in New York, where he completed coursework in mechanical engineering. Thereafter, he completed an apprenticeship in machinery at an engineering college in Mannheim, Germany, between 1960 and 1964.

Notably, Mr. Helmel attributes a great deal of his success to his extensive education and longevity in the field of engineering. Those attributes, combined with his breadth of knowledge in the industry, have been leading factors to his success and recognition in the acclaimed roles he is in today. To this end, Mr. Helmel advises that he does not build machines to create profit; he is equally as invested in the longevity of their products and customer satisfaction.

Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Helmel is incredibly proud of his ability to detect problems in the industry, many of which previously created profit instability in other, larger companies. Looking toward the future, he intends to ease into a well-deserved retirement and pass down Helmel Engineering Products, Inc., to a suitable professional who will continue his legacy.
