After serving in the U.S. Army for six years between 2001 and 2007, Brian Blydenburgh leveraged his expertise in information technology to land a position at Lockheed Martin, where he initially served in a temporary position. In light of his excellence in his role, he was offered a full-time position and was trained in AV design. Serving Lockheed Martin as a senior field service technician from 2006 to 2012, he then departed from the prestigious business to serve Salient Federal Solutions as lead AV integrator until 2013.
From there, Mr. Blydenburgh was hired by COMINT Systems Corporation as a lead demonstration and pilot analyst in 2014, holding the role for just one year before obtaining his current position as an AV design engineer and engineering manager/ SME at GovServPlus. GovServPlus provides video collaboration system integration, engineering and direct technical assistance in support of the video collaboration enterprise environments. Working from home in Seminole, Florida, he is anticipating GovServPlus to grow and establish an office in Florida as well.
Distinguished from his peers for his passion for his work, Mr. Blydenburgh has notably completed several projects for the Pentagon. He finds that looking at the finished product of a job is most rewarding, particularly when he is given the opportunity to see customers’ reactions and their excitement. When asked of advice he would like to give to prospective professionals in his field, he advises individuals to remain vigilant, remain abreast of developments in the field and obtain certifications to add to their resumes.
