As a self-motivated professional, Donald G. Cofrancesco has always been led by his own effort and determination. Before embarking on his career journey, he obtained a Bachelor of Science with distinction in chemistry and life sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1975. After receiving his first degree, he served as a research assistant at the Yale School of Medicine from 1975 to 1977. He then received a Master of Arts in gerontology from the University of New Haven in 1979 and, shortly after in 1980, was appointed director of biostatistics and health planning for the New Haven Health Department. During this time, Mr. Cofrancesco also served as the administrator of Golden Manor Convalescent Home Inc. From 1981 to 1988, he served as the administrator of several facilities including the West Haven Nursing Center, Independence Manor, and Hillside Manor. After briefly serving as a hospice consultant for Project Care Inc., he returned to the Yale School of Medicine to become an assistant administrator, lecturer, financial analyst, and clinical practice specialist. During his time at the Yale School of Medicine, he received a Master of Public Health from Yale University.
For more than a decade from 2000 to 2013, Mr. Cofrancesco served as a healthcare consultant for Coe Enterprises LLC. As a healthcare consultant, he was able to earn certification as a First Reiki Practitioner, Second Reiki Practitioner, Advanced Reiki Practitioner, and Reiki Master. Today, he holds the titles president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of All Around Town Home Care Inc. Civically, Mr. Cofrancesco previously held various positions on the board of Partnerships Adult Day Care Inc. Currently, he is an operator for the Connecticut Amateur Radio Emergency Service, an emergency coordinator for the Quinnipiack Valley Health District, chairman of human services for Hamden, CT, and a public information officer for Connecticut ARES Region 2.
