Amassing more than 50 years of professional excellence in the fields of ministry and engineering, Rev. Regner A. Capener, EE, is a respected and versatile industry leader who has been serving as an investment banker with MG Holdings LLC since 2012. Simultaneously acting as president of Capener Ministries since 2006, a senior pastor at the River Worship Center since 2006, president of R&DC Ministries since 2005, and president of R&DC Engineering in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1991, Rev. Capener is particularly interested in broadcast engineering.

Previously, Rev. Capener spent time in Alaska with various companies, including as a chief engineer at KTBY-TV, Inc., president and pastor at the House of Praise, general manager of the Action School of Broadcasting, and president of the Christian Broadcasting Network-Alaska, Inc., between 1977 and 1993. Prior to these illustrious roles, he served as the vice president of Refuge Ministries, Inc., associate pastor of the Long Beach Christian Center, associate pastor of the Full Gospel Assembly, president of Intermountain Electronics, and youth minister of the Bethel Union Church. He commenced his career as an engineer and talk show host at Station KHOF-FM and research engineer at Lockheed Missiles & Space Corporation beginning in 1962.

Alongside his primary endeavors, Rev. Capener has been a deputy governor with the American Biographical Institute of Research Association since 1990 and with the Council on National Policy since 2004 and the research board of advisors at the American Biographical Institute since 1990. In the past, he maintained affiliation with several organizations, including Women’s Aglow International, the Campaign for Boucher for Governor, Operation Blessing/Alaska, Clark Gruening for Senate Committee, and Wounded Warriors.

An ordained minister through the Full Gospel Assembly Church and CBNT certified through the Society of Broadcast Engineers, Rev. Capener pursued formal education at the University of Nebraska, Southwestern College, Bethany Bible College, and Fuller Theological Seminary, completing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework. He received a Bachelor of Arts in sales and marketing from the General Motors Institute in 1968, followed by an Electronics Engineering diploma from the Electrical Engineering Institute at Panasonic in 1983.

In order to remain aware of recent developments within the industry, Rev. Capener holds membership with numerous societies, including the Society of Broadcast Engineers, the International Society of Classical Guitarists, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the National Association of Broadcasters. Previously serving in the United States Army for three years, he is happily married to Della Denise Capener and is the proud father of 12 children. He also has 28 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys music, languages and history.
