When she was in high school, Genevieve Krause LaRobardier knew that she wanted to become an attorney. At that time, so few women had achieved this, but she was determined to go against the odds and make her dreams come true. Ms. LaRobardier received a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College and then went on to earn a Master of Arts in teaching from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1966. In 1983, she obtained a degree in international law from Columbia Law School and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. That same year, Ms. LaRobardier was admitted to practice within the state of New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Presently, she is also admitted to practice in New York, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Currently, Ms. LaRobardier is semi-retired and assists clients through the LaRobardier Law Firm. She is an attorney with Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., and has been with the Florham Park, N.J.-based firm since 1993. Prior, Ms. LaRobardier served as a special counsel for Hannoch Weisman Law Firm and in a variety of roles with Margolis Law Firm from 1983 to 1990. Formerly, she served as an adjunct faculty member for Fairleigh-Dickinson University’s Language Department and as an assistant to the Director of Latin American Affairs of the National Foreign Trade Council. Passionate and dedicated to her field, Ms. LaRobardier has maintained numerous affiliations with professional organizations, including the National Association of Dealer Counsel, as well as the ABA’s Franchise Law Section and its International Law Section.
Throughout the course of her career, Ms. LaRobardier has received numerous accolades in recognition of her accomplishments. In 1997, she earned the Distinguished Legislative Service Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association, and in 2014, she was the recipient of the International Allegiance Award. Most recently, Marquis Who’s Who dubbed Ms. LaRobardier a Top Professional in her field. Additionally, she has been listed in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
