Mr. Albright held numerous positions there, including senior logistics analyst in the Office of the Deputy Undersecretary, industrial operations project chief, depot maintenance project chief, commander of the Milan Ammunitions Plant in Tennessee, inspector general of the technical inspector division of the Army Material Command, and department ammunition coordinator for Army logistics. He also served as an operations officer and an accountable officer in the 9th Ordinance Company in Germany. Mr. Albright advanced through grades from commissioned 2nd lieutenant to colonel of the ordinance branch of the Army.
Joseph Williams Albright is a logistics and material expert who devoted nearly three decades to the United States Army in the areas of research and development of weapons systems and safeguarding vital supplies for the armed forces. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, Mr. Albright attended the University of Dayton, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 1976, and was subsequently commissioned as a second lieutenant with the U.S. Army. A quintessential example of a patriot, he dedicated 28 years to the armed forces, retiring from active service in 2004 with the rank of colonel. Since 2012, Mr. Albright has served as vice president of the North American facilities operations for the schools segments of Sodexo, a management firm with a focus on quality of life.
After retiring from the active service, Mr. Albright served as a civilian director for situational awareness with the deputy undersecretary of the Army in business transformation, and started a management consultancy. In 2008, Mr. Albright founded Performance-Based Solutions, Inc. His philanthropic endeavors include serving as chairman of the Organization of Hope and on the board of leaders for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Along with being a founding member of the National Museum of the United States Army, Mr. Albright is a charter member of the Museum of the American Revolution and the World War II Museum.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements in the U.S. Army, Mr. Albright received the Legion of Merit, a Meritorious Service Medal with six awards, an Army Commendation Medal with two awards, and an Army Achievement medal. Additionally, he received Distinguished Military Graduate honor in 1976, a Distinguished Graduate honor of the Ordnance Officer Advanced Course in 1980, and a Distinguished Service Medal from the Tennessee National Guard in 1996. While serving with the armed forces, Mr. Albright obtained a master’s degree in strategic studies from U.S. Army War College, as well as a Master of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Albright was recently named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who’s Who, and is featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders.
