Drawing upon more than 15 years of professional experience, Damon L. Davis is a distinguished leader in health care innovation and strategy. Since 2020, he has served as the associate director of alliance development at Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing company focusing on diabetes care medications and devices. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Davis builds alliances with various organizations to develop partnerships with external stakeholders and engages several communities of color, faith-based organizations and civil rights groups to discuss health care issues. In addition, he advocates for legislative changes that address the impact of obesity on medicine and society, encouraging groups to use their platforms to raise awareness and change.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Davis served as the director of MetaPhase Consulting from 2019 to 2020 and the vice president of business partnerships at Elevation Health Consulting in 2019. Formerly, he was affiliated with the United States Department of Health and Human Services in numerous capacities, including as the chief technology officer, director of health data initiatives and special assistant to the deputy secretary from 2013 to 2017. He commenced his career in 2009 as a special assistant and national coordinator for health information technology, remaining in that role until 2013.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Davis pursued formal education at Hampton University, earning a Bachelor of Science in business in 1994. Thereafter, he obtained a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland in 1996. Moreover, Mr. Davis has received several certifications, including AI Revolution Marketing Accelerator in 2024 and Shane Snow on Storytelling via LinkedIn in 2019. After receiving his certifications, he authored “Algorithmic Inequality: Removing Biases and Improving Data for AI in Health Care” in 2024.

Outside his primary career obligations, Mr. Davis is highly regarded for his expertise in adoption issues. He has hosted an award-winning podcast titled “Who Am I Really?” and authored the book “Who Am I Really: An Adoptee Memoir.” As a testament to his success in this endeavor, he was honored with the Angel in Adoption Award from the Congressional Committee on Adoption Institute, the Adoption Vanguard Award, and several podcast awards.

Looking forward, Mr. Davis aims to build a strong investment portfolio that will provide long-term financial support for his family, which includes his wife, Michele, and son, Seth. Furthermore, he would like to finish writing his second book, a comprehensive compilation of adoption stories from approximately 250 adoptees. In this regard, he aims to shed light on the distinctive journey of growing up in an adoption environment and offer a platform for diverse voices and perspectives.
