A rising leader in the fields of nonprofit administration, business and data strategy, Shuaib B. Ismail thrives in several key roles. Since 2022, he has been affiliated with McKinsey & Company, serving as a specialist consultant in data strategy and transformation. Notably, his role entails helping companies utilize their data to attract and retain customers. Likewise, since 2023, he has served as a board member of Household Goods Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides a full range of donated furniture and household items to families in need. As a board member, Mr. Ismail assists the volunteers and donors, leads the volunteer committee, and transports donated furniture to its intended location.

Earlier in his professional career, Mr. Ismail attained a higher education in his home country of Nigeria, receiving a Bachelor of Science in computer science, computer and information sciences, and support services from the University of Ilorin in 2017. Subsequently, he worked as a digital strategist for VisaCover in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2017 and as an assistant business manager in cybersecurity and trust services for Asseco Software Nigeria in Lagos from 2018 to 2021. Mr. Ismail immigrated to the United States in 2021, where he attended the University of New Hampshire for his graduate studies. In 2022, he earned a master’s degree in business analytics, having concurrently worked as a research assistant at the university between 2021 and 2022.

Likewise, Mr. Ismail holds numerous certifications through LinkedIn and Coursera, including critical and strategic thinking, advanced SQL, data reporting and analysis, holistic approaches to advancing careers, P&L and cash flow, negotiation and end-user network security, among other areas. Outside of his career ventures, Mr. Ismail has lent his time and expertise to several civic duties such as serving as a mentor for the mentorship program through the Tony Elumelu Foundation. He has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and contributed to the Business College of the University of New Hampshire. Some of his avocational activities have also included playing and teaching soccer.

Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Ismail is particularly proud of making significant contributions to others’ lives through Household Goods Inc. and the Tony Elumelu Foundation, emphasizing that he has been able to assist entrepreneurs on their journey to establishing new companies. He is also exceptionally gratified by his success with McKinsey & Company, where he is afforded opportunities to help leading banks with data-related issues and defining strategies.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Ismail intends to elevate to the position of chief data officer at a Fortune 500 company and dedicate more time to volunteering, especially with organizations that support youth in building their careers and navigating corporate environments. Furthermore, he would like to attain a U.S. soccer coaching license.
