Entrepreneurship

Boasting many years of professional expertise, Jenny Liagre is well-regarded in her industry for her unwavering dedication to her work, her ability to adapt to evolving circumstances, and her professional versatility. Since 2011, she has served as the owner of Rockwood Recovery Inc., a leading repossession company that conducts vehicle repossessions throughout the Metro Detroit region. In addition to this role, Ms. Liagre has served as the president of the Michigan Association of Repossession Agencies and the co-owner of Rockwood Lock and Key and the Rockwood Automotive Group.

Well-versed in repossession, Ms. Liagre also retains several years of knowledge in the field of finance, having served with NBD Bank and Salomon Smith Barney, through which she obtained a Series 6 financial advisory license. Likewise, she completed successful tenures in the fields of real estate and health care, demonstrating her profound ability to harness flexibility while concurrently maintaining a steadfast commitment to embracing and overcoming challenges.

Ms. Liagre formerly held a real estate license and is a certified asset recovery specialist. In 2016, she became certified as a collections manager in the State of Michigan. Emphasizing that the repossession industry is largely a male-dominated field, Ms. Liagre attributes a great deal of her success to women in the industry who have served as mentors during her career journey. Impressively, she was honored with the Women in Collections and Recovery Award at the Used Car Week Event in November 2023, where she also spoke at the Women and Collections and Recovery Panel. She has also been interviewed by many news media outlets, including Channel 4, Channel 7 and NHK Japan. Moreover, Ms. Liagre was interviewed for the “Lester Holt Show” on NBC.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Liagre aims to ease into a partial retirement, with Rockwood Automotive Group running independently. However, until then, she has ambitious plans to expand Rockwood Recovery to purchase additional trucks and relocate to a larger facility. She also intends to continue her board membership on the Michigan Collections Board, which she recently joined in 2024. Married with one child, Ms. Liagre enjoys boating, hiking and camping in her leisure time.
