Driven by a formative passion for helping others, Natalie Jean Perrault pursued a formal education after graduating high school. Attending Lyndon State College, she received a Bachelor of Science in human services in 2006, introducing her to the fields of psychology and social work. Desiring to keep her options open and not limit herself to solely mental health counseling, Ms. Perrault pursued social work in a professional capacity and has since dedicated her career to helping individuals. She subsequently received a Master of Social Work from Capella University in 2022.
Since 2019, Ms. Perrault has served as the owner and social worker of Embrace Your Journey, LLC in Newport, Vermont, through which she has adopted a client-centric approach to help patients become the best versions of themselves. Abiding by such mantras as “Helping individuals heal, grow and feel empowered to follow their journeys” and “The only journey is the journey within,” Ms. Perrault takes immense pride in knowing that all her patients are individuals governed by their own values and belief systems.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Perrault worked as a clinician and owner of the eponymous Natalie Perrault Counseling Services, LLC from 2017 to 2019 and was a counselor for BAART Programs from 2018 to 2019. Likewise, she served as a social worker for the State of Vermont from 2014 to 2018. Prior to these appointments, she was an admissions coordinator at Maple Leaf Farm Associates Inc. in 2014 and a specialized child care coordinator at NEKCA PCC from 2010 to 2013, having commenced her career at NEKCA PCC in 2007 as a family support worker.
Currently, Ms. Perrault is pursuing credentials as a licensed clinical social worker. To remain abreast of developments in her field, she is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Impressively, she has been a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for more than 25 years, having been among the first women to join the organization and one of the original facilitators trained by Dr. John Gottman’s assistant.
Among the many highlights of her career, Ms. Perrault is particularly gratified by the success she has experienced in helping others, particularly individuals who come from isolated regions with minimal resources. Looking toward the future, she endeavors to develop her practice further by hiring more clinicians, propelling her to the forefront of the industry. She also hopes to open a private practice in South Carolina.
