In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering in his community, having been a steadfast supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for many years. To wit, he was honored with the Advocate of the Year Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for his dedication to the organization. He is also the founder of Cranston Cares, president of the Cranston West Alumni, board member of the Cranston Hall of Fame, member of CLCF, and board member of the Cranston Athletic Hall of Fame. He previously served on the e-board of the St. Mary’s Feast Society from 2019 to 2022.

Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Erickson is the owner of the Thirsty Beaver Pub in Cranston, Rhode Island, having taken on the management of the business in 2012. Recognized as a staple in the Cranston community with an additional location in Westerly, Rhode Island, the Thirsty Beaver Pub was named the Best Restaurant by The Providence Journal. In the coming years, Mr. Erickson intends to expand upon the success of the acclaimed bar and grill restaurant.

Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Erickson is particularly proud of winning a championship in his first season as an athletic director at Johnston High School, as well as raising over $56,000 in funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Looking toward the future, he aims to become the board president of the Rhode Island Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association and involve more children in sports at Johnston High School.
