Hailing from humble beginnings, Kandy Kaye Horn began working at the age of 15 following the death of her mother. Living by the creed of God and believing that she was called upon by Him to perform charitable work, Ms. Horn has since become the chief executive officer of the eponymous Horn Family Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization she established in 2014 in Houston, Texas. Since founding the organization, she has donated over $15 million to various charitable networks. Among her many career achievements, she is particularly proud of helping others through her nonprofit work.

Before establishing the Horn Family Foundation, Inc., Ms. Horn pursued a formal education. After graduating from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1978, she subsequently went on to attend The University of Texas at Arlington and received a Master of Business Administration in 1981. Following this achievement, Ms. Horn earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard University in 1983.

Outside of her primary efforts, Ms. Horn has been a campaign worker for Pete Ricketts for Nebraska Governor, as well as a member of such organizations as Rotary Club International, Kiwanis Club International, the Lion’s Club and the Salvation Army. She has also lent her expertise to various Christian and Hebrew organizations and is a past president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association. Furthermore, Ms. Horn maintains membership with the Junior League of Houston, the Gulf Coast Mensa, American Mensa and the board of the University of Texas Medical Branch.

Attributing much of her success to her love for and faith in Jesus Christ, Ms. Horn intends to witness the continued growth and success of her career in the coming years. Notably, she aims to run for Congress in the state of Texas to further unite the civilians of Texas and, eventually, the nation as a whole. She lives and works by the motto, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
