Education

Supported by over 25 years of professional experience in the fields of physics and academia, Dr. David K. Roemer excelled as a high school physics teacher until his retirement in 1998. Serving the latter half of his career in the education sector, he worked for such schools as Midwood High School, Erasmus High School and Edward R. Murrow High School as a physics educator. Earlier in his career, Dr. Roemer served as the manager of radiation therapy at Litton Medical Systems and a product specialist at Siemens Corporation, among other prominent roles.

To prepare for his career, Dr. Roemer pursued formal education at Fordham University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in physics in 1964. He subsequently went on to receive a Doctor of Philosophy in physics from New York University in 1971. After accruing time in the field, he returned to higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in 1980.

Additionally, to remain abreast of developments in his areas of expertise, Dr. Roemer has maintained affiliation with numerous organizations. He is a member of the American Philosophical Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Institute for Theological Encounter with Science and Technology. Furthermore, Dr. Roemer has contributed many professional articles to publications over the course of his career.

In the coming years, Dr. Roemer intends to continue working on his professional writing. Currently, he is in the process of writing an essay that he hopes will garner the Alvin Plantinga Prize from the American Philosophical Association. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, reading novels and exercising.
