From a formative age, Philip D. Neuer has endeavored to enter the field of law, which was primarily inspired by his interest in the acclaimed television show “Perry Mason” as a child. Desiring thereafter to help individuals in courtroom settings, he sought a formal education at the Baruch School with the City University of New York, from which he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1968. Thereafter, he attended Boston University School of Law for one year and was then enlisted in the United States Navy. Serving with the military for four years, he was honorably discharged in 1973 and enrolled in Seton Hall University, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1976.

Following his receipt of his law degree, Mr. Neuer was admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey, followed by admittance before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1977 and before the Supreme Court of the United States in 1980. At the inception of his career, he served as an assistant town attorney in West Orange, New Jersey, for two years before serving Margolis and Bergstein as an associate from 1979 to 1980.

Subsequently, Mr. Neuer became a partner at Slavitt and Slavitt in West Orange in 1980, where he remained until 1981, as well as an associate at Mandelbaum and Targan from 1981 to 1983. Shortly thereafter, he served as partner with Margolis Neuer between 1984 and 1991 and of counsel for Slavitt Simon & Neuer between 1991 and 1993. Since 1993, Mr. Neuer has excelled in a myriad of leadership roles for Safer Textiles Group and Safer Development. Achieving much during his tenure, he is especially proud of assisting a client through the sale of over 80 fast food restaurants in one closing during 2011 and the Daughters of Miriam sale of its nursing home and one of its real estate parcels during 2021-2022. From the day of his admission to the Bar in 1976 until 2022, he has also represented one of the litigants in the complex multi-party case of Zemel v. Zemel in the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Concurrent to his primary post, Mr. Neuer previously served as of counsel with Lum, Danzis, Drasco, Positan & Kleinberg LLC from 2000 to 2002. Alongside his work with Safer Textiles Group and Safer Development, he has further lent his expertise as an adjunct professor at the Rutgers School of Law since 2012 and at the New York University Graduate School of Real Estate since 2004. Likewise, he is a former editorial board member for the Journal of Corporate Real Estate, where he served from 1998 to 2004.

Civically involved as well, Mr. Neuer joined the Zoning Board of Adjustment in West Orange in 2006, where he has served as chairperson of the board for the past five years. For his community efforts, he was recognized as a West Orange New Jersey Citizen of the Year in 2010. Other accolades to his credit have included induction into the Institute for Corporate Real Estate Hall of Fame in 2002 and recognition as a Super Lawyer since 2009. Furthermore, he has been AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 1978.
