Sandi Barrett was inspired to enter the field of athleticism by her mother, who was a nationally rated gymnastics official. Drawing upon several formative years of gymnastics classes in her youth, Ms. Barrett soon developed a strong passion for the discipline. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Holyoke Community College in 1981, she went on to serve as a gymnastics coach at several gymnasiums and at Chicopee Comprehensive High School, where she served between 1988 and 2021. Named Gymnastics Coach of the Year in 2019 by MassLive, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ statewide digital media site, Ms. Barrett was recognized for her coaching efforts after the Chicopee Colts finished in third place at the Western Massachusetts Championships. Likewise, she was a rated judge by United States of America Gymnastics.

Following her departure from the school system, Ms. Barrett sought to open her own athletic facility. In 2021, she became the co-owner of and coach with the All American Gymnastics and Dance Academy in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Distinguished for its diverse set of services, the gymnasium is a high-profile facility that teaches several sports, including gymnastics, dance, parkour, cheerleading, martial arts, hockey and figure skating, among several others. In her role as a coach, Ms. Barrett works with young children in perfecting their craft, all while building up their self-esteem and confidence. Additionally, she specializes in supervision and mentorship.

Earlier in her career and to the present day, Ms. Barrett also lent her time and expertise to numerous other companies. Between 1999 and 2014, she served as an intake coordinator for Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Massachusetts. Since 2013, she has excelled as a distributor for NuCerity, Inc., and since 2015, has been an accounts receivable specialist for Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
