A pioneering figure in the field of construction labor management, Richard D. Murdock has excelled as the chief executive officer and co-founder of Autovol in Nampa, Idaho, since 2018. Known for its innovative methods of combining person-led and robotic automation, Autovol is a one-of-a-kind business that has changed the landscape of construction labor. Drawing upon his initial vision of putting together an industry environment that had not yet been done before, Mr. Murdock delved into the industry at the early age of 20 in light of his love for helping and working with others.

Beginning his career in 1995, Mr. Murdock was the vice president of operations at American Homestar in Texas for four years. From 2001 to 2016, he excelled as the co-founder and chief operating officer of Guerdon Modular Buildings prior to establishing Prefab Logic LLC, which he still maintains. Additionally, alongside Autovol, Mr. Murdock is the founder and chief executive officer of Waypaver International, which he founded in 2018. For his fantastic work in the construction labor industry, he was recognized as “Best Design” and “Best Builder.”

Mr. Murdock has maintained affiliation with the Modular Builders Institute, as well as his local Chamber of Commerce. He attributes his immense success to his drive to complete an objective that had not been done before, as well as his natural affinity for working with others. He has a reliable, talented staff of which he is proud, and he makes it a point to surround himself with others who are more intelligent than he is, which furthers his quest for continual learning.

Although his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Murdock is especially proud of being at the helm of the first modular manufacturing company that got into the multi-family multi-storage business, which was different from the norm. Building marketable buildings across the Western United States and even in Canada, he is humbled by the success of his multiple companies across the years.
