A registered architect in the state of New York since 1992, Jimmy Kun Mui has been serving his own private firm, J.K. Mui Design, in New York as principal architect since 1998. Alongside this endeavor, he has been the senior project manager of IVI International, Inc., since 2004. At the inception of his career in 1978, he served as an architecture aide in the Department of Health of the City of New York before pursuing formal education at the University at Buffalo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture in 1982. While pursuing postgraduate coursework at the university, he was an intern architect with the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority in 1983.

Subsequently, Mr. Mui served as a drafter and architect for the Bradley Corporate Park at
Blauvelt, New York, and assistant architect for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development for the City of New York and the New York City Department of Education. Soon thereafter, he was a senior project manager for the Public Schools of the City of New York for seven years while also serving as president of Mui Enterprises International from 1994 to 2000. During this time, he was also a construction manager for Fedayeen Construction Company LLC for two years before becoming a member of CCM & Associates LLC. He was also the president of Mui Enterprises, Inc., between 2001 and 2005.

Born in Hong Kong, Mr. Mui currently resides in the Bronx, New York. He immigrated to
the United States at the age of 13 and has since become an American citizen. The proud father of two children, he is proud of his Tibetan Buddhism background. As a testament to his success, he was highlighted in the 71st edition of Who’s Who in America in 2018.
