Amassing more than five decades of professional experience, Judith Cole Schrim Mack is a prominent and venerated political scientist who recently retired in 2016. Most recently serving as the founder of Wise Women, she was a former instructor at Douglass Residential College at Rutgers University from 1992 to 1993. Prior to this appointment, she acted as an adjunct lecturer at Barnard College, an instructor and adjunct lecturer at Hunter College, an instructor of Russian at Kent State University and Emory University, and a teacher at the Sayre School. Likewise, she held the role of research assistant in the Security Studies Center at the University of California, Los Angeles, the Russian and Eastern European Studies Center, and the sociology department at the University of Kentucky.

Equally passionate about her community, Ms. Mack has participated in a number of civic engagements throughout her illustrious career. On the board of directors of The Braille Institute Women’s Auxiliary since 2008, she has also been the education committee chair for the California chapter of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America since 2004, who inducted her onto their Roll of Honor in 2018. In addition, she has been the vice president of the Board Vistas for Long-long Learning since 2003, an active member of All-Saints-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church since 2002, and on the board of directors of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America since 2002. Previously, she served the Association for Children of New Jersey in several capacities, including chair of special events, vice president, and on the board of directors.

Ms. Mack has contributed countless articles to professional journals and has accrued several accolades in recognition of her contributions to her community. The recipient of the Phoebe and Benjamin Shackleford Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Community Service Council of Oranges and Maplewood, New Jersey, in 1985, she also received the Outstanding Volunteer Service Award from the New Jersey chapter of the National Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse in 1982. Furthermore, she was presented with the Grace Boskey Award from the Association for Children of New Jersey in 1981 and named among the Outstanding Young Women in America in 1968.
