Backed by 50 years of professional experience, Michael Joseph Levin, Esq., has established himself as a renowned leader in the field of law. He is noted for his expertise in banking and corporate reorganization, as well as commercial, antitrust, general corporate, insurance and partnership litigation. Since 2016, he has poured his passion into his role as a partner in the firm Simon & Partners LLP. Prior to his current position, Mr. Levin honed his understanding of the law by practicing at several firms, including Wrobel Markham LLP; Barger & Wolen LLP (now Hinshaw & Culbertson); Menaker & Herrmann LLP; Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP; Boyle, Vogeler & Haimes; and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, where he tried and handled the appeals of cases on behalf of major banks, the New York Stock Exchange, a major oil company and other commercial entities.
Inspired by his father, who was also a lawyer, Mr. Levin always knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the legal arena. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University in 1964 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan in 1967. In the subsequent years, Mr. Levin gained bar admission through the State Bar of Michigan, New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association.
A retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Levin initially tried cases in the United States and Vietnam; he then became an appellate defense counsel before the United States Court of military Appeals. Mr. Levin continues to contribute to the military through his affiliations with the Marine Corps Association and the National Museum of the Marine Corps. In recognition of his professional contributions, Mr. Levin is the recipient of the Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award.
