Richard J. Volentine Jr. has been practicing law for more than 35 years. He is an industry leader in mortgage banking, insurance, and banking regulation. Mr. Volentine earned a Bachelor of Science from Spring Hill College in 1977 and went on to earn a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama in 1980. He is certified to practice law by the State Bar of Georgia, the Florida Bar, the Missouri Bar, and the Alabama State Bar Association.

Mr. Volentine has been practicing mortgage banking through his private practice since 2016. Prior to that, he served as general counsel to several firms, including Dimont, Everbank, Amerisave Mortgage Corporation and Prommis Solutions LLC in Atlanta, which provides technology-enabled processing services for the default resolution sector of the residential mortgage industry in the United States. He was also associate general counsel for Fannie Mae, vice president and associate general counsel for Chase Home Mortgage Corporation, regional attorney for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, regional counsel at Citicorp Person-to-Person, and staff attorney at the Alabama Judicial College.

In recognition of his achievements in his field, Mr. Volentine is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest and Who’s Who in the World.
