Hasen-Sinz, Susan 3716312_20025228 Newsletter.jpgA lauded figure in the fields of human resources and management, Susan Hasen-Sinz has accrued more than 30 years of industry experience. Devoted to her country and community, Ms. Hasen-Sinz felt naturally drawn to providing compassionate service to her community, bringing civilians together on important matters. She presently serves as the director of human resources for the City of Largo, Florida, a position she has held  since 2003, and a member of the board of directors for the Florida Labor Management Conference, holding that role since 2009. Commencing her career as a member of the management staff for the Illinois Department of Driver Services, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has also served in various positions with the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, the Illinois Governor Race, and the Illinois Department of Public Aid, among several others.

Alongside her professional endeavors, Ms. Hasen-Sinz has been a fellow of administrative hearings under Secretary of State Jim Edgar since 1987, on the board of directors for Public Risk Management of Florida Health Trust in 2013, and co-chairperson of the communications program of the Florida Labor Management Conference from 2008 to 2010. In her local community, she has additionally served as social chair and treasurer of Oak Brook Republication Women and a committeewoman of the DuPage County Republican Central Committee since 1999.

In preparation for her celebrated career, Ms. Hasen-Sinz earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and Spanish from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts in labor relations and human resources from Loyola University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta as president of the Standards Committee, as well as song leader and chaplain of the Alumni Association from 1986 to 1987.

In recognition of her exceptional accomplishments, Ms. Hasen-Sinz was named Outstanding Student by the Alumni Association at the University of Illinois for 1986-1987. She was also honored as One of 100 Top Seniors at Champaign-Urbana Campus’s Alumni Association at the University of Illinois in 1986, a recipient of the Miss Amity Award, and a recipient of the Lincoln Fellowship. Furthermore, she is listed in the 23rd and 24th  editions of Marquis Who’s Who in the West.
